KASHMAR "WAKE UP & WORRY"

It
seems only a short time ago that Mitch Kashmar
released his "Nickels & Dimes" CD
containing the hit, Dirty Deal. It was because
of this Delta Groove release that Mitch was nominated
for the Best New Artist Debut Award in the 2006
Blues Music Awards (The W.C. Handy Awards). Mitch
has now released Wake Up & Worry, also on
the Delta Groove label. The primary song on this
release is Dead Presidents. You may remember the
classic by Little Walter. Mitch, however, brings
new life to the song, making it more danceable.
Look for this on to catch on quickly. Two other
cuts on the release that deserve attention are
Half Pint-A-Whiskey and the title track, Wake
Up & Worry. Born in 1960, Mitch caught the
music bug from sneaking into clubs at an early
age with his brother’s I.D. he began playing
with local bands in his native Santa Barbara,
California hometown. By 1980, he was leading his
own band.
