Mr. Kashmar covers a lot of Blues
territory on this CD, from traditional acoustic
on Black Dog Blues (8) to a couple of Little Walter
covers and the Blues/Mambo Green Bananas. With
a strong backing band of top West Coast players
he can pull it all off well. I'm especially liking
Dead Presidents (2) and the instrumental Funky
Dee (3 – love that wah wah
pedal), as well as the Jimmy Reed homage Night
Creeper (6). Did I mention he plays a mean harmonica?
